High Commissioner of Belize to the United Kingdom

Cherie Nisbet is a career diplomat with extensive experience representing Belize across the Americas and Asia. From May 2021 to July 2025, she served as Ambassador of Belize to the Republic of El Salvador with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Costa Rica and the Republic of Honduras.

Her prior postings include serving as Ambassador of Belize to Taiwan (2011-2015) and as Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Belize in Washington, D.C. (2008-2011).

Ambassador Nisbet holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of North Florida (1997).
